looks like a very low-key mix between discourse and some other thing i can't pinpoint

I don't love it, but maybe with the settings they offer, it could be brought closer to something we are used to.

Might be some extensions which can be plugged into Flarum to get stuff like that

Era uses a platform called XenForo, so that's probably gonna be closest to what people know. Though you have to pay for a licence.

testUserName waaay too expensive to me. Just trying out some extensions. speaking of.

added image galleries (line break between images should activate it) as well as moderator notes for users, which I think might be important.

Oh nice, I clicked around some of the GitHub repos for extensions and theres some decent stuff there.
